12.01.07 - Departing SL Resident Donates GIIF Shares To Fraud Insurance Fund

With the announcement of his permanent departure from Second Life, ISE member and GIIF share holder TheEyeofRa Jewell has donated 9,700 GIIF shares to the ISE Fraud Insurance Fund.

These shares will remain in a suspense account designed specifically for the Fraud Insurance Fund under the supervision of Cocky Dagger.

At current share price of 20.27L$ the total 9,700 donated GIIF shares has increased the Fraud Insurance portfolio to 196,619L$.

"I would like to leave behind some good, some support for the ISE as I have always respected Cocky Dagger for his management of the International Stock Exchange.", states TheEyeyofRa Jewell.

Mr. Jewell continues by saying, "I would also like to thank Cadence Juran for her unwavering support of the ISE and savvy business style in launching a profitable investment fund. I sat back and watch as many did not give her a chance, but she proved to me that she knew what she was doing, which is why I decided to invest in GIIF. Thank you Cadence and keep up the good work."

The Executive Fund Manager of GIIF Cadence Juran stated, “It is always bittersweet when a selfless resident of Second Life decides to leave, Mr. Jewell's charitable donation to the ISE Fraud Insurance Fund will be a gift that will benefit the entire ISE community and a gift that will be remembered for quite some time. On behalf of Cocky Dagger, the members of the ISE, and me, thank you very much for your kindness and generosity."

A nice gift to a nice exchange. This shows there ain't only thieves around. I cheer to that.

Will the shares (still showing on the GIIF research link) be removed from the market lowering GIIF total shares?

No, the shares will not be removed from the market and the total GIIF shares will remain at 80,000. The donated GIIF shares are now considered a part of the Fraud Insurance portfolio and will remain active.

Should Cocky need to divest those shares then they would be sold back to the open market and the proceeds would be deposited directly into the Fraud Insurance captial reserves.

Hope this helps some :)

Kind Regards,

Cadence Juran

  • what a nice sign from u , really appreciate....that means maintain GIIF share price in a good value and persuade me even more to make same decision and hold on my actual investment to a long term period.
